Diane Riedel (nee Redlich) founded redlich kommunikation in Munich in 2003. She advises startup companies, enterprises and institutions on their corporate communications activities, providing support for their operations in Germany and abroad.

For companies without a communications department, Diane can take on the position of Head of Communications and Company Spokesperson. In this instance, she can manage all media contacts on behalf of her clients. She has international experience, especially in opening up new markets, as well as establishing companies and brands.

She brings together a team of highly-qualified specialist freelance professionals to accomplish the clients’ goals. Her clients include large well-known companies, small to medium-sized businesses, as well as startups and entrepreneurs.

The startup world exemplifies a new way of working – it is important to be agile and collaborative, be integrated within ecosystems and use your own resources where they add the most value. Corporate communications, PR and public affairs are often areas where entrepreneurs have less professional experience and reliable networks. During the last two decades, Diane Riedel has gained significant insights and valuable experience in the field of corporate communications, across the corporate and consulting worlds. She has strong communication expertise, from creation and implementation of communication strategies to the daily handling of press contacts and social media, underpinned by an extensive knowledge of company and brand building.

Before starting her own consulting business in 2003, Diane was Company Spokesperson and Head of Corporate Communications for Walt Disney Television and the Disney Channel. She was responsible for the communications activities for the Disney television brands and she was a key player during the launch of the Disney Channel in the German-speaking countries. Prior to Disney, she was part of the core team responsible for the build-up of the Pay-TV network Sky, as a PR Manager for the German-speaking countries.

Diane studied in Germany and the US and holds a Master’s Degree in Communications from the University of Munich, Germany, where she graduated with distinction. During her studies, she also worked as a freelance journalist and as an Assistant Consultant at Roland Berger International Management Consultants. Through her work in PR and journalism in London and New York she deepened her international professional experience. Diane is fluent in German, English, French and Italian.

Diane has a long experience of helping organisations to develop their networks. Many years ago, she set up the “redlich kommunikation Events” as a creative think-tank space for people from the cultural, media, business and political circles. This series of events is only one of the many ways she brings selected industry experts together.
